Dear Walt,
Just wanted to drop you a quick line to compliment you on your product. I have been using the "The Stiks" with my athletes for both rehabilitation and conditioning and have found them to be extremely effective for both. In terms of rehabilitation, it is easy to reduce resistance to minimal so that my athletes can begin short arc range of motion with light resistance early on. In my opinion, this is key to a more rapid recovery from injury and return to play. I have showed your products to our hand specialist, Dr. Thomas Graham, who is the Chief of the Curtis National Hand Center and Vice Chairman of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Union Memorial Hospital. He was also impressed with them and sees application for his professional baseball players and golfers as well. In addition to rehabilitation applications, Dr. Graham suggested using them for pre-game warm-ups via short arc exercise. Several of my players have done so prior a hockey game and have found them helpful. Their lightweight makes it easy to take them on the road with us. In terms of conditioning, "The Stiks" provide great, multi-directional resistive exercises, which cannot be accomplished with simple dumbbells.

I wish you continued success with this product. You have my and Dr. Grahams full endorsement!

Best Regards,
Jim McCrossin A.T.C. / CSCS

Dear Mr. Boettger,
I hope you are well. I am writing to relate to you how pleased I have been with the "The Stiks". In my dual role as the Chief of the National Hand Center and the Surgeon-in-Chief of the Arnold Palmer SportsHealth Center, I have the occasion to use your product for a wide variety of patients and players.

"The Stiks" bridges the gap between the "rehabilitating athlete" and the "training athlete". Furthermore, "The Stiks" can be used to maintain strength and endurance during the season.

Your device appears to provide two critical advantages for the athlete coming back from injury or surgery. It promotes development of power grasp while encouraging wrist range of motion; most strengthening exercise/training equipment maintains the wrist in a "locked posture".

"The Stiks" are not just useful for my professional athletes. I've found it valuable for my entire patient population, especially for the "industrial athlete", whose livelihood depends on their ability to perform high force/high repetition tasks in the workplace. Their light weight even allows my young male athletes and female athletes maintain a workout regimen without the fatigue or even safety issues that I have seen with dumbbells and free weights.

There is no doubt that "The Stiks" give my elite athletes some distinct advantages, but you should be proud of the way that your device can be used across a wider spectrum of people as an enjoyable and effective way to rehabilitate or maintain the strength and endurance needed for daily life.

Undoubtedly we will need "Stiks" at the Hand Center soon and you'll likely be hearing from more of the professional trainers and strength coaches with whom I share my experience. If I can do anything for you regarding your efforts to get SportStiks in the hands of athletes, especially adolescent and scholastic athletes don't hesitate to contact me. Best wishes.

Sincerely yours,
Thomas J. Graham, M.D.

Dear Walt,
I just wanted to let you know that I have been evaluating "The Stik". By nature I am a skeptic about therapeutic modalities and the claims that they make. However, after having a number of patients use your "Stik", I am very impressed. People who have been having chronic problems with their wrists and elbows have had tremendous improvement. They can easily change the tension and therefore the resistance that is used, letting them stay in charge of their own therapy. Not only has the pain decreased. but they also report an increase in strength in their hands and forearms.

I have also used "The Stik" myself. I had been having problems with a tennis elbow for five months. I also saw a good response in my pain and my strength.

I don't know if you have thought of this already but this product could be used in many situations. It could help prevent overuse injuries such as carpel tunnel syndrome. It also could help condition athletes, from youngsters to adults, who are playing sports that need hand and forearm strength.

I will be happy to recommend "The Stik" to my patients and friends, knowing that the product can provide them with a lot of benefit.

Sincerely yours,
John M. Fanning, D.O.

Dear Walt:
Thank you for allowing me to evaluate "The Stik". I have given this exerciser a good work-out in my personal training program and I am happy to report my two thumbs-up / triple A approval! In the past, I have used a more traditional round wooden stick with hanging rope and 3 pound weight (homemade design) which I have used extensively to improve my forearm strength for ice hockey puck handling as well as improvement in performance on the golf course. This new and innovative exerciser provides the advantage of being more comfortable to your hands, increased versatility for different types of work-outs for flexors and extensors of the forearm, and in addition, pronation and supination as well. I can vary the resistance depending upon my selected training goal. It is compact and for this reason I can use "The Stik" exerciser practically anywhere. Athletes, workers (who do repetitive lifting), and patients with complaints of lateral and medial elbow pain (epicondylitis) would all benefit from use of this therapeutic equipment. I enthusiastically support "The Stik" and not only will I continue using it myself to achieve my own personal training goals, but I will prescribe this equipment to my patients in my orthopaedic practice.

Thank you for introducing me to the Sportstik!

Sincerely yours,
Stuart L. Gordon, M.D.
